Oro Fino Chapter

Oro Fino Chapter was organized January 19, 1903, at Helena, by Organizing Regent Elizabeth Barret. They wanted to chose a name which would perpetuate the history of the city's origin and growth. A gold mine strike was found near where Helena is now located. It yielded such pure gold that it was named Oro Fino or fine gold.

Five State Regents have come from this chapter.

They have been very active in marking historical sites and preserving history. The chapter presented a gavel to the 18th State Conference held in Helena and it has been used ever since to convene and adjourn the annual state conferences. They are very active in their support of Fort Harrison VA Hospital as well as naturalization ceremonies.

For membership information contact the Chapter Regent.
